Group Therapy
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy that consists of a facilitated space where a small group of clients meet regularly to explore topics that affect one’s self-esteem, emotional and mental well-being. The goal is to give clients a sense of community and support where they can express their needs and concerns. Group therapy allows clients to connect with others who have similar experiences. Topics are presented to the group that are relatable, transformative and empowering. We aim to give our clients a sense of “home” and a chance to rediscover and rebuild their future.
Couples Therapy
Rediscovering intimate connectivity and diving into relationship inadequacies can be difficult. We work in partnership with couples to address relational strife one step at a time and employ skills that enhances your partnership. It is our duty to assist couples in forging new language and intimacy. The goal of couples therapy is to mitigate issues such as infidelity, sexual disconnection, parental disparities, gender roles, and relational contention.
Individual Therapy
A process through which our clients will work one-on-one with a licensed therapist in a safe and confidential environment. We work collaboratively with individual clients to assist in identifying some of the barriers that result in clients feeling stagnate and unhappy. As a collaborative team (therapist and client), we explore various areas of your life and help build effective skills, raise awareness, and alleviate symptoms that cause distress and affect daily functioning. We diligently explore the best modalities and therapeutic techniques that will induce positive outcomes and bring out the best in you!
The Intake Process
Your first appointment is called an initial assessment. Initial assessments are focused on gathering information about your history and presenting concerns. The initial assessment is a time to gather information that will inform your treatment. The intake process will take approximately one hour and will explore past treatment, reason(s) for seeking treatment, employment, education, family history and current symptoms. We will work together to establish preliminary treatment goals and/or next steps, as appropriate. We will also review practice policies, confidentiality and make sure you have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.
